An introduction to the world of 3D printing. With a short talk explaining how 3D printing works, the different types of printers commonly used, and the variety of filaments available, including their strengths and ideal uses, participants will also learn about the process of turning digital files into physical objects using a 3D printer. As a hands-on highlight, attendees will be able to put together their own decorative dagger using an assortment of pre-printed 3D parts and gain an understanding of how such items are created and put together.
