Relax
It's not a contest
The Costume Showcase is a more relaxed event where everyone can have a chance to parade their creation for the crowd. There will be no preparation required, just turn up in your costume, you will be announced and will have your moment in the limelight.
Whilst we still will have judges, they will not be looking for the biggest, or the best costume: They will choose 3 people who caught their eye in some way – even maybe for finding the confidence to step on stage. These will receive a small something in appreciation.
This couldn’t be simpler! Just come to the Costume Show office beside the Royal Stage 10 minutes before the Costume Show is due to start. And more importantly; everyone is welcome to enter!
If you are looking for our previously run Costume Competition, please head here
At the Costume Show office beside the Royal Stage, you will be asked to give your name and the name of your character/costume, along with whether you are happy to speak into the microphone or not.
You will then wait until your turn at which point one of our team will show you up onto the stage, where you can strut your stuff, and then exit the stage and take your place in the audience.
We must have a few, sorry!
